JOE HUGHES ROGERS 2010
JOE HUGHES ROGERS, devoted father, husband, United States Veteran and educator, departed this life peacefully on October 9, 2010.Born in 1929 near Sandy Point, Brazoria County, he attended Wheatley High School and graduated from Powell Point High School in Kendleton. He also attended Prairie View A & M University, San Diego Community College, The University of Houston and later, Sam Houston State University where he obtained his Master of Education. After a twenty- year Navy career culminating in retirement as AECS in 1967, he moved his family from San Diego back to Houston where he served as instructor/counselor at San Jacinto College until his retirement in 1988. Columbia Lakes in West Columbia became their retirement home since 1992.Joe is preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, LaVerne Spencer Rogers, his sons Bradley (Anna), Clifford, Kenneth; and his daughter, Dr. JoAnne L. Rogers.



10 am Visitation and 11 am Service will be held on Thursday, October 14 at

A new tab has been added to the Home Page for Club Scores.  It will take you to a page to select which calender your game is on.  There will be an underlined link if the score is posted for that day [eg 12/27/06].

Thanks all that have been sending in club games for posting on the website, it is a great way to communicate what is happening in the section.  I regret to mention that what has been received  have been filenames that either are not ready for uploading or require editting.  This takes considerable time and I am not able to do much of this.  It is great that you take the effort to send in the games- and to go the one step further really helps out. So, please send properly named [acblscore] GameFiles or properly named Files ready to go.  Read Instructions .

Normally games will be located in the SW Club Section Calendars.  Games that don't conform to the naming procedure, if they are posted won't be posted there.
